The images here presented result from the author's life experience amongst the kalash, an animist community living in Pakistan.
Over a period of two months, the author observed and took part in their religious rituals and customs, when both life and death is celebrated, along with prayers, animal sacrifices, songs and dances made in honor of the Creator. This visual story aims to show the beauty of Kalash culture.
The book contains 13 portfolios, along with 13 stories narrated by an english interpreter. You will also find videos (please access via cell phone or tablet using QR code), allowing you to merge into the cultural identity of an ethnic group of people that struggles to preserve their traditions, while resisting the pressure from a Muslim majority.
